Some recently-made new friends: a birthday present for Lucia's friend, Aziza, whose favorite animal is a giraffe (that was a fun one) and a little bird (I used this pattern more or less) for a birthday boy at Alma-Lu's school. (Designated crafter is one of my official parent responsibilities. I like that one.)
